Cathedral St. Peter and Paul of Naumburg and a Knight’s Meal at Rudelsburg Castle (Option 1)

On this tour you will experience the Naumburg Cathedral Treasuries in their stylish presentation in the second largest Romanic cross-vaults of central Germany. These are mainly religious art and cultural objects such as altars from the 15th and 16th century as well as valuable archives from the collection of the Naumburg Domstiftsarchiv. In the Cathedral you will get detailed explanations about the famous sponsor statue of Uta, a painting from Lukas Cranach, the Naumburg Johannes bowl from the 13th century, one of the oldest sculptural representations of its kind, and a Pietà from the 14th century, one of the oldest in Germany.
The excursion will be rounded off by a Knight’s Meal at Rudelsburg Castle near Bad Kösen. Enjoy the ambience and feel easy like in medieval times.

Ark of Nebra and a Knight’s Meal at Rudelsburg Castle (Option 2)

The Nebra Sky Disc is the oldest known visual representation of the cosmos – a unique testimony of the cultural history of central Europe. Since its discovery in 2002, the bronze Sky Disc has been the focus of attraction from all over the world. Ark Nebra – the multimedia visitor’s centre near the site where the disc was found – pays tribute to the great cultural and historical significance of this unique artefact.
